But we can't really support DropBox as a file system. I'll ask the engineers who implemented the migrated user account (its actually part of the addition of multiuser and permissions model) to see what they think about this. That is never what you want with QuickBooks files. DropBox is doing things to sync the file - who knows what? We did test accessing a file on DropBox from two different locations simultaneously and that resulted in DropBox, on its own, creating a copy of the file for the second user to hit it, and giving the second user access to this copy. In general I don't recommend having your QuickBooks company file in DropBox. That sounds really odd but I guess it is a possibility.
